Lectimox CV 1.2gm Injection is a combination medicine that is used to treat various types of bacterial infections. It fights against the microorganisms to prevent their growth and further spread of the infection. It also prevents diarrhea which may occur as side effect of this medicine.

Lectimox CV 1.2gm Injection is a combination of three medicines: Lectimox CV 1.2gm Injection1, Lectimox CV 1.2gm Injection2, and Lectimox CV 1.2gm Injection3.

In Bacterial infections

Lectimox CV 1.2gm Injection contains two different medicines, Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid, that work together to kill the bacteria that cause infections. Amoxycillin works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against bacteria. It also contains probiotics that help restore the useful bacteria, improve digestion and enhance overall health.
This combination medicine can be used to treat many different bacterial infections such as ear, sinus, throat, lung, urinary tract, skin, teeth, joints, and bones. It usually makes you feel better within a few days, but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.

What are the contraindications associated with the use of Lectimox CV 1.2gm Injection?

Lectimox CV 1.2gm Injection is considered to be harmful for patients with a history of allergic reactions to any penicillin. It is also avoided in patients with a previous history of cholestatic jaundice/liver dysfunction associated with the medicine.

Which is the best time to take Lectimox CV 1.2gm Injection?

Lectimox CV 1.2gm Injection may be taken every 8 hours or every 12 hours, depending on the dose prescribed by your doctor. It should be taken with a meal or snack to reduce the possibility of getting an upset stomach. Many antibiotics can cause diarrhea. If diarrhea is severe or lasts for more than 2 or 3 days, call your doctor.

Can I stop Lectimox CV 1.2gm Injection in between if I feel better?

No, complete the course even if you feel better. It is common to feel better early in the course of therapy. However, skipping doses or not completing the full course of therapy may reduce the effectiveness of the immediate treatment. It might also make the bacteria develop resistance against the treatment.

Can I take Lectimox CV 1.2gm Injection if I am allergic to penicillin?

If you have had an allergic reaction to one type of penicillin, you may get allergic to ampicillin or to some cephalosporins, but not necessarily. Make sure you tell your doctor if you are allergic to penicillin.

What are the instructions for the storage and disposal of Lectimox CV 1.2gm Injection?

Keep this medicine in the packet or the container it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.
