Sida Cordifolia
Bala which means “strength” is a popular herb in Ayurveda. All parts of Bala possesses various medicinal properties, especially the root. It is good for managing the symptoms of Parkinsons disease. Some of the medicinal properties of Bala are antiviral, fever and pain reducing, laxative, diuretic, and aphrodisiac. It helps to manage bronchitis, asthma, nasal blockage, inflammation inside the mouth and dysentery[2].
In Ayurveda, Bala exist in four different types. The first type is known as Vatavallika, Vataya and Vatylaka, second is Mahabala also known as Pitapusha and shade, third is Atibala also known as Kantika and the fourth one is Nagala also known Gangeruki.
