Karanja
Karanja is a medicinal herb and is mainly used for indigestion and loss of appetite. Karanja has anti-inflammatory, blood glucose lowering, antidiarrheal, anti-ulcer and antioxidant properties. It is also used for cleaning teeth and strengthening gums.
All parts of this plant (roots, flowers, leave, bark) have medicinal benefits. Leaves of this plant are used in the form of juice for the management of cold, cough, diarrhea and flatulence. Oil from this plant is used as a liniment to manage pain in rheumatoid arthritis[1][2].
According to Ayurveda, there is another variety of Karanja known as Putikaranja.
