Sitaram Ayurveda Elaneer Kuzhamb is a traditional eye salve with tender coconut water as its base. It is a cooling combination of ‘pitta’ samana herbs that cleanse as well as protect the eyes from fatigue and ailments. Elaneer kuzhambu is found mentioned in the context of ‘Urdhwanga roga chikitsa’ pertaining to the head, neck, eyes, ears and nose, in sahasrayogam, an authentic compendium on ayurvedic formulations. It is a cooling combination of darvi (Berberis aristata), triphala(the three berries - Terminalia chebula, Terminalia bellirica, Embilica officinalis), madhuka (Glycyrrhiza glabra), narikela jala (Tender coconut water), karpoora (Cinnamomum camphora), pitakarohini (Gmelina arborea), saindhava lavana (Rock salt) and madhu (Honey) in a thick syrup-like consistency.

Directions For Use:
1-2 drops in each eye. The medicine is to be used straight out of the sterile dropper bottle. The drops should be gently placed in the inner corner of the eyes, eyelids closed gently and the eyeballs moved gently to facilitate the uniform spreading of the salve in the eyes. The eyes should be kept closed for at least 2-3 minutes. Once the tears cease, eyes may be opened and washed well with clean cool water.
