L-methylfolate is used for dietary management of low plasma or low red blood cell folate in certain patients. L-methylfolate is the active form of folic acid used by your body. This active form of folic acid is proven to be up to 700 percent more bioavailable than regular folic acid . L-methylfolate is proven to lower levels of homocysteine - an amino acid linked to pregnancy complications. L-methylfolate is a medical food. It works by providing the body with folate and prevent anemia.
Trufol XT tablet is used in the indication of folate deficiency, megaloblastic anemia in pregnancy and malabsorption syndromes. Trufol XT Tablet is used to prevent NTDs, and pregnancy associated complications due to elevated homocysteine levels. .
