This medicine can relieve frequent loose motions and also help you to stay well by preventing them from coming back. You need to take this medicine regularly to get the most out of it and you should drink plenty of fluids while taking it to make sure you stay hydrated.

How Capagyl F Syrup works
Capagyl F Syrup is a combination of three medicines: Furazolidone, Metronidazole and Simethicone. Furazolidone is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria that cause diarrhoea by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering. Metronidazole is also an antibiotic which kills other infectious microorganisms in addition to bacteria by damaging their DNA. Together, they treat your infection effectively. Simethicone is an antifoaming medicine which disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas.

- Diarrhea can cause water loss and electrolyte imbalance. Drink plenty of fluids especially ORS (oral rehydration solution) to help keep you hydrated.
- Do not drink alcohol while taking and till 4 days after taking this medication. This is because drinking alcohol with Capagyl F Syrup is likely to make you feel very sick (nauseated) and cause other unpleasant effects, such as hot flushes, headaches, and palpitations (fast heartbeat).
- Consult your doctor if your diarrhea lasts for more than 48 hours.
