Use of Glucotag M 25mg/500mg Tablet is, however, not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. Regular monitoring of kidney function test is advisable while you are taking this medicine.

What if you forget to take Glucotag M Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Glucotag M 25mg/500mg Tablet, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.

- Tell your doctor immediately if you experience any deep or rapid breathing, persistent nausea, vomiting or stomach pain as Glucotag M 25mg/500mg Tablet may cause a rare but serious condition called lactic acidosis, which is an excess of lactic acid in the blood.
- Along with your regular doctor visit, you might also need regular check-ups with an eye clinic and a foot clinic as well.
- Your doctor will also advise you to test for sugar in your blood using a home diabetes test kit regularly to check that your sugar level is being controlled.
- Along with a healthy diet, indulge in light exercises regularly and quit smoking and drinking.
- If you feel excessively thirsty, pass urine more frequently, and get tired easily, then let your doctor know. These are the signs of very high sugar levels in your blood and your treatment may need adjusting.
- Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) may occur if Glucotag M 25mg/500mg Tablet is taken along with other antidiabetic medicines, alcohol, or on delaying/skipping a meal. Check your blood sugar levels and have a snack/sugar source for immediate relief.
