Havrix 1440IU Injection protects against Hepatitis A, which is a serious liver disease caused by the hepatitis A virus (HAV), that spreads via contact with contaminated food or water. It is given as 2 shots, 6 to 12 months apart. Both shots are needed for long-term protection.

Hepatitis A is an inflammation of the liver caused by infection with the hepatitis A virus. Havrix 1440IU Injection helps your body develop immunity by forming antibodies that your body needs for protection against hepatitis A virus. It is usually recommended for people who are at high risk of contracting hepatitis A. It is given by an injection into a muscle and should be administered at least 2 weeks prior to expected exposure.
