Introduction of Migrapac Tablet

Migrapac Tablet is a medicine used to prevent and treat migraine. It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation. It also blocks the signals in the brain that cause nausea and vomiting associated with migraine.

Migrapac Tablet is a combination of adenosine receptor (A1 & A2) antagonist, ergot derivative, analgesic & antipyretic-PCM, and dopamine (D2) receptor antagonist-prochlorperazine.

Driving

What if you forget to take Migrapac Tablet?

I am facing issue of headache from last 3-4 years.i have consulted allopathy and they have given me sibelum 10 for migrane and asked to take metopar(paracetamol) when ever pain is too much.i am nit taking sibelum now but i am taking metopar when ever required.so i want a homeopathy consultatation if it can be cured by homeopathy or the level of headache can be lowered. Currently i face headache once in a week and i had to take metopar. Kindly suggest. My weight 80 kg And i am taking some neuro medicines ( stalopam 10, amitone 10) I also have cholesterol and taking (atorec 20)

What is Migrapac Tablet?

Migrapac Tablet is a combination of four medicines: Paracetamol, Ergotamine, Caffeine and Prochlorperazine. This medicine is used in the treatment of migraine symptoms like a headache, nausea and vomiting. Ergotamine prevents blood vessels in the head from expanding. Caffeine increases the absorption of ergotamine and also narrows the widened blood vessels. Paracetamol blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that causes pain. Prochlorperazine is an antiemetic which prevents vomiting by blocking signals to the part of your brain that cause nausea/vomiting.

What can cause or trigger a migraine attack?

Certain physical or environmental factors, such as foods, hormonal changes, weather and stress can lead to or “trigger” a migraine. However, it is important to remember that triggers can be different for everyone. That is why, to help prevent migraine attacks, you need to figure out which triggers affect you and which ones do not. Keeping a headache diary is an effective way to track triggers, and it will help you talk to your healthcare professional about your condition.

Can I stop taking Migrapac Tablet when my migraine symptoms are relieved?

Migrapac Tablet is usually used for prevention and treatment of migraine attack. Migrapac Tablet should be continued as advised by the doctor.

Can the use of Migrapac Tablet cause constipation?

Yes, the use of Migrapac Tablet can cause constipation. Lifestyle changes like eating a good amount of high-fiber foods such as fresh fruits, vegetables and cereals, drinking plenty of water or other fluids and regular exercise can help relieve constipation.

Can the use of Migrapac Tablet cause dry mouth?

Yes, the use of Migrapac Tablet can cause dry mouth. If you experience dry mouth, drink plenty of water. Take regular sips during the day and keep some water by your bed at night. You may use lip balm if your lips are also dry. Try to avoid foods that are acidic (like lemons), spicy and salty.

Can I take a higher than the recommended dose of this medicine?

No, taking a higher than the recommended dose of Migrapac Tablet can increase the risk of side effects. If you are experiencing increased severity of migraine attacks which are not relieved by the recommended dose of this medicine, please consult your doctor for re-evaluation.
