Introduction of Rifa I 6 Tablet

Rifa I 6 Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of tuberculosis. It prevents the growth of the microorganisms that cause the infection. It also protects the nerves from the side effects that may occur during the course of the treatment.

Rifa I 6 Tablet is a combination of mycolic acid inhibitors- INH, RNA polymerase inhibitors- rifamycins, and vitamin B6 (pyridoxine).

Rifa I 6 Tablet helps treat tuberculosis by stopping the growth of bacteria causing infection. Your symptoms might improve after using Rifa I 6 Tablet. However, make sure to complete the full course of treatment. This will ensure that the infection is completely cured and prevent it from returning.

Side effects of Rifa I 6 Tablet

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

How to use Rifa I 6 Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Rifa I 6 Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
Avoid Rifa I 6 Tablet with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.

Consuming alcohol while taking Rifa I 6 Tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heart beat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure (Disulfiram reaction).
Pregnancy

Hello, TB medicines are given only when there is indication of tuberculosis. They are for treating tuberculosis.
Though took vaccines in childhood, the test for TB came positive. Was advised to undergo treatment.physically absolute fit and healthy, is it advisable to take treatment?
