Contains 30 tests

ED comprehensive evaluation package is a group of tests that helps you keep a check on your health. ED comprehensive package comprises the following tests.

HbA1c or glycosylated hemoglobin test is an important tool in diagnosing and monitoring your diabetes. Hemoglobin, a protein found in your red blood cells, carries oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body and glucose tends to attach to this protein. It is a reliable technique for finding your blood sugar levels as it measures the average blood glucose of the past two to three months( the average lifespan of a red blood cell is 120 days). The higher the A1c results, the higher is the glucose attached to your red blood cells. This test reveals your blood glucose level and also whether or not you are at risk of diabetes.

Urine Routine & Microscopy test is done to detect any infection in the urinary tract especially in the presence of symptoms such as abdominal pain, back pain, painful or frequent urination, blood in the urine. It can also evaluate kidney disorders and is used as a part of a routine health check-up. It is also a routine test in pregnancy to detect the presence of infection or other diseases or as a part of any planned surgery preparation.

Testosterone total detects the levels of testosterone in males and females. In males, it is done to diagnose the cause of conditions like erectile dysfunction or infertility. In females, it is done to diagnose the cause of conditions like virilization (females develop masculine physical features). Also, in females, it is done to diagnose the cause of infertility or polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). In children, it is done to find out the reason for ambiguous genitalia (a condition in which the infant's genitals are not clearly male or female) and for delayed or early puberty.

FSH-LH-Prolactin includes three tests: FSH (Follicle-stimulating hormone), LH (Luteinising Hormone), Prolactin. The FSH test evaluates the levels of Follicle Stimulating Hormone in the blood. The LH test detects the levels of luteinizing hormone in the blood. The prolactin checks the levels of prolactin hormone in the blood. This test is done to evaluate:
-To evaluate the function of reproductive organs (ovaries or testicles)
-To evaluate infertility issues in females
-To evaluate the role of prolactin in case of failure of lactation after childbirth
-To assess the irregular menstrual cycle in women
-To investigate the cause of abnormal breast milk discharge (galactorrhea), menstrual irregularities, or infertility in non-pregnant women
-To diagnose disorders of the pituitary gland or diseases involving the ovaries in women
-To evaluate early or delayed sexual maturation (puberty) in children
-To evaluate low sperm count in men
-To assess hypogonadism or gonadal failure in men
-To check testicular dysfunction or erection failure in men
-To investigate the cause of loss of sex drive (libido) in both men and women

The Thyroid Profile Total is a group of tests that are done together to detect or diagnose thyroid diseases. It measures the levels of the following three hormones in the blood: Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH), Thyroxine (T4) - Total and TriIodothyronine (T3) - Total. It is done To diagnose any suspected thyroid disease (Hypothyroidism or Hyperthyroidism). It also monitors treatment in patients with thyroid diseases.

Lipid profile is a group of blood tests that detects the levels of different types of lipids present in the blood. A lipid profile measures cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglycerides. It is done to screen for the risk of cardiovascular disease and to monitor patients who have risk factors for cardiovascular diseases.

A fasting blood glucose test is done to measure the levels of glucose in the blood after a period of fasting. This test is done to screen and diagnose prediabetes and diabetes. The fasting blood glucose test is done to detect diabetes mellitus and screen for high blood sugar if risk factors of diabetes are present. It also helps in detecting diabetes during pregnancy or gestational diabetes. Monitor treatment efficacy in patients undergoing treatment for diabetes.

The estradiol test measures the levels of estradiol in the blood. Estradiol is a form of estrogen hormone which plays an important role in the function and development of reproductive organs and in the formation of secondary sex characteristics in females. It regulates the menstrual cycle in women along with progesterone. This test is used to evaluate
-To diagnose hypogonadism (production of fewer sex hormones) in females
-To evaluate the cause of oligomenorrhea (infrequent menstruation) and irregular menstruation in females
-To evaluate the cause of feminization in males like gynecomastia (enlarged breasts)
-To evaluate the cause of precocious (early) and delayed puberty in females
-To evaluate the symptoms of menopause like abnormal vaginal bleeding
-To monitor follicle development in case of infertility in women
-To monitor treatment in case of hormone replacement therapy taken by women after menopause
-To evaluate the lack of secondary sexual features, lack of muscle mass, delayed puberty in males

Testosterone Total

A Testosterone Total test measures the level of testosterone hormone in the blood. Testosterone is a sex hormone that is mainly found in men but is also present in women in small amounts. The appearance of male physical characteristics is also due to this hormone.

The production of testosterone hormone is regulated by luteinizing hormone (LH), which is produced by the pituitary gland. As the levels of testosterone rise, the production of LH decreases which in turn slows down the production of testosterone. Similarly, when the levels of testosterone fall, it leads to an increase in LH production, which in turn stimulates testosterone production.

Most of the testosterone circulating in the blood gets attached to two proteins: albumin and sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG), and some of it remains unattached which is called free testosterone. Free testosterone and albumin-bound testosterone are also known as bioavailable testosterone as they are easily available for the body to use for proper functioning.

Lipid Profile

A Lipid Profile test assesses the level of specific fat molecules called lipids in the blood and helps determine the risk of heart ailments. This test determines the amount of different types of lipids, including total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, very-low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, and triglycerides. Lipids play a pivotal role in the functioning of the body. They are crucial components of the cell membranes and hormones, provide cushioning, and are a storehouse of energy. Any alterations in the lipid levels may lead to potential heart ailments, making their monitoring crucial.
