Understanding X Ray Dental
What is X Ray Dental?
X-Ray, also known as radiography, is a technique which uses x-rays (ionizing radiations of frequency 0.1-10 nm) to provide visual image of body’s interior structures. They are the oldest and the most frequently used form of imaging techniques. They are often used to diagnose bone fractures or look for any foreign bodies in soft tissues. On X ray imaging, the dense parts of body like bones appear white (as they absorb maximum x-rays passing through them) while air filled organs like lungs and other air filled areas of the body appear black. Muscle, fat and fluid filled spaces appear grey.
