Cetirizine + Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide + Menthol + Ammonium Chloride + Zinc Gluconate1 is an antiallergic which reduces cough associated with allergies by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger (histamine). Cetirizine + Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide + Menthol + Ammonium Chloride + Zinc Gluconate2 is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain. Cetirizine + Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide + Menthol + Ammonium Chloride + Zinc Gluconate3 produces a sensation of coolness and relieves minor throat irritation. Cetirizine + Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide + Menthol + Ammonium Chloride + Zinc Gluconate4 is an expectorant which helps remove mucus (phlegm) from the airways. Cetirizine + Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide + Menthol + Ammonium Chloride + Zinc Gluconate5 releases zinc ions into the throat. These ions prevent the cold virus from reproducing due to which the virus dies off faster and the cold ends sooner.
