If you are taking birth control pills, dose of Brace 50mg Syrup need to be reduced as birth control pills may interfere with clearance of Brace 50mg Syrup, increasing its levels and chances of side effects.

Brace 50mg Syrup should be taken strictly as advised by the doctor. To avoid an upset stomach it should be taken with food.

One should take proper caution if you are taking furosemide along with Brace 50mg Syrup. This is because the combined use of these medicines may decrease the levels of potassium. Hence, regular monitoring of potassium levels is required.

Brace 50mg Syrup should be avoided in patients who are allergic to ambroxol, Brace 50mg Syrup, or theophylline. Along with that, patients suffering from low blood pressure, irregular heart beats or rhythm or history of heart attack, liver disease or kidney disorder should avoid taking Brace 50mg Syrup.

Brace 50mg Syrup comprises of theophylline-7 acetate and ambroxol which makes it effective in making the mucus more fluid and clearing the airways easily, thereby making breathing easier. This effect of Brace 50mg Syrup works as an added advantage over theophylline. Moreover, it also reduces the need for other medicine used to treat asthma, like salbutamol.
