Cinitapride and Pantoprazole, which relieves symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Cinitapride is a prokinetic which facilitates the movement of intestines, thereby increasing the frequency of bowel movements, softening stools, and reducing abdominal pain/discomfort. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in the relief of acid-related indigestion and heartburn.

Q. Which is the best time to take Cintodac Capsule?

Take Cintodac Capsule exactly as directed by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food. To prevent heartburn and acid indigestion, take it 30-60 minutes before eating food or drinking beverages as that can lead to indigestion. Follow all directions as advised.

Q. What is gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)?

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) occurs when the stomach acid frequently flows back into the esophagus (the tube which connects your mouth and stomach). This backwash (acid reflux) can irritate the lining of your esophagus. Symptoms include chest pain usually after eating, which might be worse at night, and difficulty in swallowing.

Q. Can I take Cintodac Capsule if I am pregnant?

Speak with your doctor if you conceive or plan on conceiving while taking Cintodac Capsule. Some studies have shown that it is unsafe to use during pregnancy as it may harm the fetus.

Q. Can I drink alcohol with Cintodac Capsule?

No, alcohol is usually avoided while taking Cintodac Capsule as it may increase the acidity and cause acid reflux in the food pipe (esophagus) causing heartburn (painful burning in chest). This would decrease the effect of this medicine and can aggravate your existing condition.

Q. What are the instructions for the storage and disposal of Cintodac Capsule?

Keep this medicine in the packet or the container it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.
