Razine 500mg Tablet may cause changes in the electrical activity of the heart which is known as QT prolongation. Your doctor may get regular tests done to check the electrical activity of your heart. Tell your doctor right away if you feel faint, lightheaded or if your heart starts beating irregularly or fast, as these may be symptoms of QT prolongation. Razine 500mg Tablet may also cause kidney failure in patients who already have kidney problems. Therefore, your doctor may need to do tests to check how your kidneys are working.

Q. I started taking Razine 500mg Tablet about a week ago. Now I have noticed that my urine has become very dark though I am taking plenty of fluids. Is there anything to worry about?

Urine discoloration could be because of Razine 500mg Tablet. You need not worry if you do not have any other symptoms. However, if it still bothers you, you can talk to your doctor who will advise you further.

Q. In case I accidentally take an excess of Razine 500mg Tablet, what will happen?

Excess of Razine 500mg Tablet can cause nausea, vomiting, lightheadedness, double vision, tiredness, severe tremor, confusion, hallucinations, difficulty in speaking and walking and you can even faint. If you have taken an excess of Razine 500mg Tablet by mistake, call your doctor right away or seek emergency medical care in a nearby hospital.

Q. Is it safe to take Razine 500mg Tablet if I am already taking metoprolol?

Yes, it is safe to take the Razine 500mg Tablet and Metoprolol together. Razine 500mg Tablet has minimal effect on blood pressure in patients with angina.

Q. I am a diabetic and am taking metformin. My doctor has prescribed Razine 500mg Tablet, is it safe to take both together?

If you are taking metformin along with Razine 500mg Tablet, you have to be careful since Razine 500mg Tablet may increase the levels of metformin in the body which can lead to metformin toxicity. Talk to your doctor who will modify the dose of metformin.

Q. I have been taking simvastatin to keep my cholesterol levels in check. Can I take Razine 500mg Tablet with it?

It is recommended not to take simvastatin and Razine 500mg Tablet together because it may cause simvastatin toxicity which may lead to symptoms like muscle weakness and soreness, fatigue, decreased urination, etc. Let your doctor know that you are already taking simvastatin. If it is still necessary to take, then take it exactly as advised by the doctor.
