Product introduction
Pdlast Tablet is used in the treatment of moderate to severe plaque psoriasis which is a type of skin condition. This medicine is used when other conventional treatments cannot be used or if the patient is not responsive or intolerant to any of these treatments.
Pdlast Tablet can be taken with or without food. Take it regularly and do not stop taking the medicine even if you get better until that doctor tells you it is alright to stop. You may need to monitor your weight regularly while taking the medicine as it may cause weight loss.
Using this medicine may cause few common side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, headache, and upper respiratory tract infection. If these side effects persist or get worse, let your doctor know. Your doctor may help with ways to reduce or prevent these symptoms by prescribing you an alternative medicine or by adjusting the dose.
To make sure the medicine is safe for you, before taking this medicine, let your doctor know all the other medicines you are taking. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor first before taking this medicine.

In Plaque psoriasis
Plaque psoriasis is the most common form of psoriasis, a condition where the skin cells in the body grow too quickly and form scales and dry patches. They can grow anywhere, but most appear on the scalp, elbows, knees, and lower back. Pdlast Tablet reduces the scaly, itchy patches which may develop on the different parts of the body. It may take several months to become fully effective. You should avoid drinking alcohol while having this treatment and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

What if you forget to take Pdlast Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Pdlast Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Is Pdlast Tablet an immunosuppressant?
No, Pdlast Tablet is not an immunosuppressant. It belongs to a class of medicines known as phosphodiesterase 4 inhibitors (PDE4) which work by blocking the activity of PDE4. PDE4 is found in inflammatory cells and blocking it helps in reducing the molecules responsible for inflammation.
How long does it take for Pdlast Tablet to work?
Pdlast Tablet is used to treat plaque psoriasis (red, scaly, thick, itchy, painful patches on skin) and psoriatic arthritis (a condition that causes joint pain and swelling). It is a long-term treatment and may take about 16 weeks to show an improvement.
Can Pdlast Tablet cause depression?
Yes, Pdlast Tablet may cause depression as a side effect. The patient may also develop suicidal thoughts. It should be avoided in patients with a history of depression. Does Pdlast Tablet cause weight reduction?

How should Pdlast Tablet be taken?

Can I take rifampicin along with Pdlast Tablet?
You should not take rifampicin if you are taking Pdlast Tablet. Rifampicin interferes with the working of Pdlast Tablet by decreasing its levels, making it less effective. As a result, you may not see any improvement after taking Pdlast Tablet.
What if I get pregnant during treatment with Pdlast Tablet?
In case you get pregnant while taking Pdlast Tablet, you should inform your doctor immediately. In fact, pregnancy should be avoided during treatment with this medicine. The reason being, according to animal studies, with Pdlast Tablet there may be a risk of baby loss or defects in unborn baby.
